Norv Turn(ing) it around?

In the Chargers 4 wins, Philip Rivers has thrown for 186.5 yards per game, in the 3 losses he has thrown for 232 per game. In the 4 wins he has 31, 18, 21 and 11 passing attempts, in the 3 losses he has 30, 36 and 42 attempts. The key to this team is defense and LDT, for some reason Norv did not get that memo until week 6. Philip Rivers is a mediocre quarterback at best, which in most cases would be fine for a young QB. However this is an exceptionally good team, which makes him the weak link.

This team is finding it's swagger again, but the process won't be quick. Norv had this team at rock bottom and the fans were calling for Marty. It will take sustained success for this team to really believe in itself again. It will be a tough road because SD has the toughest second half schedule in the NFL, only one team (Raiders week 17) is not a legit playoff contender in the AFC or NFC.

It still seems that SD is one of the only true threats to the Patriots. I would like to see them get to the playoffs for another chance...they will really have to earn it though. All of the pundits will most likely put SD as the favorite in the AFC West again. I am more hesitant, this teams seems to be fighting not only a brutal schedule but a brutally under informed coach. SD fans can only hope that Norv is truly Turn(ing) it around.

It is amazing that Norv didnt give the ball to Ladanian as much as he did during the first couple of games. However, their last win, Ladanian didnt get a touchdown and Rivers threw for 3 tds. As much as I didnt think Chris Chambers was going to be a big factor in this offense it sure seems that way. He has become a solid receiver that Rivers can hit. Norv has always been known as a proto-typical Qb coach and Rivers will only get better under him. Although that is not the quickest way to win with that team. I think Rivers numbers will improve and that inturn will help this team dramatically. it just took time.
