The G-Men did a lot of things right this week. This is all well documented on ESPN and by every NY sportswriter. I just have two points to make about the game.
-Eli needs to take the next step at some point this season if they want to be really dangerous. QB ratings in the low 80s aren't going to beat any other playoff caliber team. He managed to not hoist a pick stupid coverage (the one he through was more a bad tip then his fault). Eli's first drive of the game he looked great, and he has been giving us 2 or 3 of these a game. For the Giants to be real contenders he will need to do this more consistently.
-Lawrence Tynes is bad...you need a kicker to be a contender in the NFL. In recent years we have seen the importance of kickers in the playoffs (i.e. Colts addition of Vinatieri) and this year Elam has 3 game winning field goals, without him that team would be 0-6. Rob Bironas came out this week and single handedly won a close game for the Titans.
LEAVE Plaxico HOME....thats right, I said it.
Each game we see Plax noticably limping by half-time. He is still having an amazing year but we will need him 100% healthy to go anywhere in the playoffs and more importantly we will need him to avoid a nasty second half slide like the G-men have had the last 2 years.
Plax should stay in the states this week and take the game off against a Ronnie Brown-less Miami team. We will have Steve Smith back and Amani has been playing great. That will give Plax all this week and the bye week to get as close to 100% as possible. He will return at home for the Cowboys, where we will need him big-time.
5-2 ain't bad at all. It's time to look for the playoffs.

i agree with the idea of leaving Plax at home.... i still cant believe they are playing a game in london. So stupid. You need to write a column on that alone.
Playing in London infuriates me. You know one of the players is gonna get sick from the nasty food they have over there. Not to mention it will completely throw off their weekly routines.
Plus English people are a-holes… as demonstrated by every Mel Gibson movie. The Giants should get him to coach the game.
My prediction*: Giants stab the Dolphins in the chest with an American flag in overtime.
*This assumes London is equipped with a Thunderdome.
I don't think you need to sit Burress at all. He can make it through this week against Miami than have the bye week to recover. He has been one of the most productive receivers in the NFL despite the bum ankle and the bottom line is, Eli needs him on the field to win games. Just being on the field opens doors for Eli offensively.
