2007 QB categories: Where they stand after Week 6.

Thanks to Jeff C. for putting the initial list together. (Sorry if we pick it apart)

Elite - Play at a level that is incomprehensible to mere mortals in terms of decision making, execution and wins. There is a HUGE gap between these guys and the next best.
Peyton
Brady

Good - Win a lot and/or put up good numbers.
Romo
Palmer
Big Ben
Hasselbeck

Decent - Secure jobs, will win some games, spots of stupidity
Eli Manning
Brett Favre

WTF?- Can’t believe these guys are relevant, either because their teams are winning too many games or their stats are too high... or both.
Derek Anderson
Jeff Garcia
Jon Kitna

Up and coming- Show signs of life, but don't quite put it all together week to week.
Jason Campbell
Vince Young
Matt Shaub

Underachievers - Pretty disappointing week in and week out. Frequently freak out and make horrible decisions. Should be winning more with team around them.
D-Nabb
Drew Brees
Chad Pennington
Steve McNair

Not as good as people want to believe they are - They have good supporting casts but really are not good enough to lead them.
Jay Cutler
Phil Rivers
David Garrard

Basement- These teams need to just hand the ball off.
Damon Huard
Vinny T.
Joey H.

Anomalies - No one really knows who is trotting out there.
Whoever Oakland is bringing to the table
(insert) Miami QB
Arizona job opening
St. Louis QB #?
Buffalo situation

I have a couple problems with this list.

1) The headings are in wrong orders, the WTF guys should be below the up and comers, Derek anderson has not proved anything yet and he like Kitna just have awesome receivers doing the work for them. Garcia is playing well on a good team that is making a run so i can see him this high.

2) David Garrard is better than this list tries to show. he has the 4th highest passer rating and Delhomme is one of them (out for the year) plus he hasnt thrown an INT

3) Jay Cutler is too high for this list as well as Jason Campbell...Campbell should be in the Not as good as they want to believe category and Jay Cutler is definitely in the basement.

4) Vinny T should be considered a "whoever carolina brings to the table" although i love him getting in and making some noise.

Agree with you on the Garrard call. This dude is legit. I would throw him under the "Up and Comer" category...maybe even higher. 0 Ints has to be one of the most impressive stats of the year so far.

At this point in the season, Jason Campbell has his team at 3-2 and very much alive in the NFC WC race and if Dallas slips up they will be back in the NFC East division race. He hasn't made a lot of mistakes this year and he has shown consistent improvement. You can't blame him that the idiot Washington coaching staff decided to throw 37 times at Lambeau in the rain. Campbell is definitely an up-and-comer in the NFL.

The biggest mistake that I saw (other than Garrard) is Carson Palmer. He is leading a 1-4 team and has 9 turnovers in 5 games...himself. Needless to say Cincy has been arguable this years biggest disappointment so far.

I forgot Alex Smith. What category would he be in?

Under acheivers...he has frank Gore with him and they consistantly lose.

Definitely "underachiever" not only does he have Gore, they got Vernon Davis (who doesn't even get thrown to) and they brought in D-Jax who hasn't had much of an impact.
